For the past month and a half my laptop is getting slower and slower each day. It takes about 10-15 mins for it to start up, them 5-10 mins just to open mozilla/internet explorer. Here is my Log file:

Hi

Can't see anything suspicious there. Please see this great guide by miekiemoes to see how system speed can be improved.

First I want to say I'm no expert but I have suffered with the same problems over the last few months. After looking at the list of process that are running in your system I can say there is room for improvement. I noticed there are a number of processes running in backround that really aren't needed at startup time(ie: Adobe products, Sony products, Tom Tom whatever that is etc..) You'll have to determine what you want to start and leave in background. I have found that some of these product run just fine when you need them so its not necessary to eat up core or page space to have them a split second away. One product I have found helpful in seeing and controlling startup items is REGSeek. Its free and fairly easy to use. JUST DON'T GO CRAZY WITH ALL OF ITS OPTIONS. Another core and page killer I found was Lavasoft Ad-Aware Service (aawservice) sorry guys!! To check this out use Windows Task Manager(Cntrl_Alt_Delete, once) and double click "Image Name" to see the process's running in alpha sort order. Check the CPU usage and determine if you wish to terminate this process. Then continue with your work and see if things improve. In my case, they did improve.
This process of cleaning out your startup list can be long but you will get a better handle on what you system is doing and what is needs to run. Good luck
