Hi all.

I have just registered with this forum since i came across a problem.

Basically, when I try and uninstall ad-aware, I get this message ---> 'This action is only valid for products that are currently installed.'
and then the window closes. Its not listed in the add/remove programs list, so that's out of the question.

I installed the newest ad-aware and placed it into the old current ad-aware folder, and then uninstalled. Now looking back into the folder the other ad-aware seems to be removed, although its still got a few files, and its still on the 'all programs' menu.

Also when I look at the services of the computer (this is when services.msc is ran) It shows lavasoft. But if its supposed to be uninstalled then surely it shouldn't be listed.


Is the program actually uninstalled and do i just need to delete the folder in my c: drive and delete the folder in the programs menu?

any help would be most appreciated.

pls download and install the 'Revo uninstaller'.
Backup your system before you fire it up.
