I had an infection that wouldn't let me access web sites related to solving infections. I could access msn.com, google, etc., but not lavasoft.com. Not even this forum, from that computer. Also, my home page was hijacked .... (the usual stuff reported here).

Good news! I managed to trick the bug and got Ad-Aware Pro, which found and removed the infections (I think). However it seems my system has some changes resulting from the escapade. I still can't go to certain sites, including this one. Any suggestions?

pls download and install 'HijackThis' from TrendMicro's, run a scan and copy/paste the log in your next reply.
