Ad-Aware 2007 - Automatic update to Ad-Aware 2008.

The latest software update for Ad-Aware 2007 will include a free, automatic update to Ad-Aware 2008.
(Ad-Aware Version 7.1.0.10).

Here is how you access it:
Open Ad-Aware 2007 and in the main status window click on the update button.

This message will appear:
Click 'OK' to continue.
First, you will be prompted to uninstall the Ad-Aware 2007 version:
Click 'YES' to continue
When the uninstallation process has finished, the Ad-Aware 2008 installation file will be downloaded and executed automatically.
Follow the on-screen installation guide.

If using Ad-Aware Free, you will be prompted to register.
Please register or click 'Use Free' to finalize the installation.

After completing the above, you have now installed the latest version of Ad-Aware 2008!
Regards,
John

Can Someone help Me get my Ad Aware back on My Computor?

I have followed the above but my computor is unable to deleate the 2007 version saying "feature trying to use is on a network rescource that is unavailable"

Something went wrong and I lost my Word programme so I reset my computor back to june, I got the word programme back But lost both my AVG and Ad Aware Free protection. I have put the AVG back on but I cannot get the Ad Aware 2008.

Hello tillie2 biggrin.gif
pls do this first...
download and install 'HijackThis' from TrendMicro's.
Run a scan and copy/paste the logfile in your next reply, we have to look after an infection before can start to repair.
Cheerio

Hi Razeil

Many thanks for your help I restored to 1.8.08 and have my Ad Aware back yipeeee. I had to restore the AVG as well but that is ok.
Sorry to say I lost my Word programme. I am going to ring microsoft up tomorrow and get them to give me a new code.

My computor is still running a bit slow I think something may be running in the background, but I will keep an eye on it,
many thanks again Tilly2

Hi again biggrin.gif
glad to see that you solved it, I've found an unknown program in your log :

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [HiYo] C:\Program Files\HiYo\bin\HiYo.exe /RunFromStartup

Shouldn't you also know it, feel free to start a new post.
Cheerio
