I have been using Ad-Aware SE for several years, with no problems. However, I recently installed a new Intel D865PERL mobo, and now have a problem with Ad-Aware. Every 3rd or 4th time I try to open Ad-Aware, it doesn't open. Nothing happens. If I try to reboot my computer, I get a notice that "SMaxPnP" is shutting down. That's part of my on-board sound driver. Then, I get a notice that Ad-Aware is shutting down. After re-boot, Ad-Aware will work fine for 2 or 3 attempts, then hang again. That's the only time I ever get the shut-down notice for SoundMax.
Have you heard of any compatability problems with Ad-Aware SE and Intel boards, or SoundMax sound systems? Is there a way to resolve the problem? I can live with it if I have to, but would rather fix it if I can.
My system is:

Motherboard Intel D865PERL (BIOS version P19)
CPU P4 3.0G 800FSB (hyperthreading active)
Windows XP Pro SP2
RAM 1G (2 X 512 Megs) DDR400
Chipset Intel 865PE
HD Maxtor 6Y120P0 120G 7200 RPM Pri IDE Master
Optical Drive Benq DW1655 Sec IDE Master
Video Card NVidia FX5500 (256 RAM) 84.21 driver
Sound Soundmax onboard sound 5.12.0001.5240 driver

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Bill.
