During an Ad-Aware scan, your anti-virus software may alert you to the presence of a virus on the system. This can sometimes lead to confusion with users believing that Ad-Aware has installed a virus.
The behaviour is caused when Ad-Aware looks inside an infected archive (zipped) file or a folder containing a virus, at which point your anti-virus realtime scanner may alert you to the presence of a virus.
The solution is to stop the Ad-Aware scan and perform a full scan of the system with your Anti-Virus software, making sure to include "archive scanning", and removing any viruses found.
