I recently installed Ad-Aware 2008 (free version) on my Dell PC. I run Microsoft Home XP.
Since installing the 2008 version, my Temporary Internet Files Folder is erased daily. I clean it out myself after each session and had always kept the favicons from my favorites list. Now they are blasted to smithereens after each close.
I am not very sophisticated in computers and generally I do not noodle around with the settings. I've checked the Advanced tab under Internet Options and the Empty Internet Files box is not checked. Do you know if there is a feature in Ad-Aware 2008 which cleans this file? Can I change the setting?
Also - even though my cookie setting is set high, each time I log on there are a bunch of cookies from the sites I'd visited previously.
Can anyone help?
