This did not fix the problem. I uninstalled AAW2007, removed all traces from the registry, rebooted. I ran WICU and rebooted, then tried downloading and installing AAW2007 and still get the TTimer.exe error. I also tried installing the new AAW2008 and get the same error. This machine is running Windows XP Pro SP2, and does NOT have Spybot installed. Can you give me something else to try?

I too am having this issue on multiple computers and originally posted this error back in November -- I never received a fix. I too tried AAW2008 hoping they might have fixed it in the new release and was very disappointed to find that Lavasoft had not. Let me know if you ever find a solution.

I first posted this error back in October 2007 (http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=13586); however, 8 months later never received any support from Lavasoft. I installed AAW2008 with the hope the issue had been addressed -- unfortnately, the bug remains in the new version. I've tried installing on 7 different computers and all receive this error. I have yet to find a computer that it will run correctly on. I had considered the Ad-Aware Enterprise at my work, but given these issues and lack of any support by Lavasoft -- will look for an alternate product.

Hello!
I faced the same problems as found here via “Search” - “TTimer”.
Both AAW2007 & AAW2008 with Windows 2000 Server SP4 leads to “TTimer Access Violation”. “Ad-Aware SE Personal” was the one product starting there.
I carefully done all recommendations from this “Lavasoft Support Forums” but not one of them helps me.
Windows 2000 Server SP4 is the one system where I have such problem. All my attempts use AAW2008 with XP, Vista, 2003 Server, 2008 Server (both x86 and x64) were successfully.
I use McAfee 8.5 too with all listing above systems but AAW faults only with w2k and I haven’t any solution for it at all.
