I followed the instructions exactly and uninstalled Ad-Aware 2007, and deleted all Lavasoft files and directories. I then downloaded 2008, ran the set up file, and clicked on the "use free" button. Everything seemed to install fine. When I try to run the program, I get a message saying "client liscene has expired", and caused me to close the program. I did the same installation at home, and it works fine. What is causing that to happen here at work? Others in my same office have it running fine on their computers.

With the 2007 program was it a paid version?
Have you tried an uninstall/reinstall?

The 2007 was free. I followed these directions exactly when unistalling 2007 -
http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=19003 - and then installed 2008. I still keep getting that message, and have tried multiple times.

Did you run the Beta 2007 version at all on your machine? That may be causing the problem.

I believe I used the main version, not the Beta. I downloaded from the link at the top of the main Lavasoft site just a few days ago.

I have uninstalled 2007, and deleted every file and folder of Lavasoft and Ad-Aware that I can find, downloaded and re-installed 2008, and still get the expired liscence message - Anyone that is able to offer help??????

Have you made any changes to your system lately, such as a reformat?

No, haven't even installed any other software or anything. I am guessing there is some file lingering that contains an old or invalided file, but that is just a pure guess.

Sorry but the problem doesn't seem to make sense. if you have never had a license then it of course should never have an expire error. That's why we were asking all the questions.
So what i'd do is to install 2008 (if it isn't already) and then uninstall using a 3rd party uninstaller, such as
revo, choosing to uninstall and remove any files left over. ONLY DO THIS FOR AD-AWARE.
then try and reinstall, open the program and see if this happens again.
good luck,
Casey
