hi. a pleasant day to all.

i am receiving an application error that says

Application Error
Exception E-Access Violation in Module AdAware.exe at 001DCCA4.
Access Violation at Address 005DCCA4 in Module Ad-Aware.exe. Read of address 000418.

i uninstalled and reinstalled aaaw08 using the install/unistall guide in here again, but the same error appears.

so i disabled the "open aaw and update after installation" feature in the installation process.

i was able to install it successfully. after that, i updated the software, and after the update, the same error appears again. is there something wrong with the update?

i run on Windows XP SP2.

i really need your help. thanks in advance.

Sorry this has not been answered.

You may have to remove AAW 2008 and download a fresh copy. The first download may have been corrupted.

Try this press the windows button together with r now type sysdm.cpl press enter. Press on the advanced tab under performance click settings,press on the Data Execution Prevention tab. Now select Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select press on the add button now browse to the installation folder off Ad-Aware. Select Ad-Aware.exe click two times on ok.
