Is anyone else having this problem? I have the free version of AdAware 2008, and I have Vista Home Premuim Service Pack 1. When I run AdAware Full Scan, it allways freezes somewhere in the deep scan of the registry, it freezes in different registry keys, but allways somewhere in the registry. I let it run all night last night, and it never finished, it just froze up. Then, if I end the process through Task Mgr, I can't restart it without restarting my computer. The error I get is that the Core Engine is busy. Suggested action is "0".

Freezing does seem to be fairly common. Please read the topics in this forum.

To restart ad-aware after freezing without restarting the comp. Go to start > in search bar type services.msc > find Lavasoft Ad-Aware Service > Right click > restart.

Then re-open ad-aware, this should work.
