Full Version: Mozilla Firefox browser not loading some websites!

Hey, my Mozilla Firefox hasn't been loading some websites for about a week or two now.. It'll load websites like google and the websites that are in my bookmarks but won't load other websites while Internet Explorer can load websites.
I'm pretty sure this error has to do something with rundll32.exe because I ran my computer into safe mode and unchecked the boxes with rundll32.exe in msconfig in Start/RUN but then "new" rundll32.exes appear about the next day or so and then my mozilla doesn't work again.

Please help me with my problem, I have no clue what to do..

Thanks a lot

Hi,

Your computer may be infected with malware, so what I'd like you to do is read this topic and follow the instructions.

Then post your results of the Hijack this log file in a NEW TOPIC in the Hijack This log forum.

Someone will guide you through what to do if you do have an infection,

I hope you manage to sort it out,

Casey

Hey caseyboy, thanks for your response.. really appreciate it
but about the adaware situation to save a logfile with the HiJack This, where can I download adaware?
I don't have adaware and don't wanna buy it, is it possible for me to get like a free trial for a certain number of days for it?
Or should I download a crack version of it?

Hello sseeeeee biggrin.gif
here is a save download location for AAW free.
Don't forget to run an update.

Yo Raziel, much thanks

Hey,

I was asked to download adaware and get HiJack This Logs but I need someone to help me and guide me through this..
First of all, the problem is that my Mozilla Firefox browser will not load some websites but will load websites such as google.com and websites in my bookmarks
Every other website is basically unloadable and I've checked around and pretty sure that it has something to do with a malware/virus of some sort and with a (rundll32.exe) or something like that because while I searched for help, I tried unchecking the rundll32.exe files in msconfig in Start/RUN and the mozilla worked fine but then more rundll32.exes start appearing again..
I have no clue what I am doing so please help me out with this problem please
I've downloaded adaware just now and I am waiting for further instructions with a step-by-step guide from someone to help me thru this

- Thanks

Do I need not download and scan thru adaware beforehand or any antivirus program?
If you want me to just scan thru HiJack This and reply with my log, then I'll do so

First step...
... post the HijackThis log, we need to have a look into.

I have a bigger concern with the computer that I am having this error on, Raziel..
The concern topic is shown as "Loading icons and programs issue.." under the "Post your support issues here" category.
Please take a look at it as soon as you can and help me with my problem

- Thanks

Hi

Have you allowed Firefox to connect from your firewall (if you use any)? Those in your bookmarks may be loaded from cache and that's why those open ok.
