Speed counts

I have been a user of se free for a number of years. Since some of the recent def files have not worked I decided to try the free version of 2008.
The full scan time on 2008 was 18.10 min. the smart scan was 10.59 minutes.
I re-installed the old se and the quick scan time was 1.39 minutes.
The same amount of tac3 files was found in all 3 scans.
Too bad lavasoft fixed something that wasn’t broken.

As a fully "Paid-Up Member of The Dark Side", I have to admit that I've never done an A / B comparison re: speed trials SE vs. 2008.

It doesn't affect me...it WOULDN'T affect me...

...and here's why:

With AAW 2008 Plus, I have a FULL scan, AUTOMATICALLY taking place a 0300hrs each day...when I'm either in bed or listening to some righteous heavy progressive rock...

SE never provided an AUTOMATED scan, to my knowledge (mind you, I'm running Plus, not Pro...)

AAW 2008 works for me...on my desktop...just now.

SE Plus works for me...on my Laptops...just now.

BTW...with FULL scan options enabled (Heuristics Level 3 / Extended AntiVirus Engine / etc), AAW 2008 knocks seven bells of tiot out of SE.
