I've been using ad-aware for about 4 years & have never had a problem till 3 weeks ago. Was told the def files were over 14 days old. Tried to update & it said there were no updated components available. I know there is at least one update a week, so I looked on the web site & saw I was 2 updates behind. Read support article that you listed & deleted the defs ref file & defs ref old file, then the update worked. The next week the same thing happened. This time replaced the old zip file with new zip file then it worked again till today. Looked in driver etc folder and found no entry with edgesuite.net. I know the defs ref file shouldn't have to be deleted each time in order to update. Any other ideas? Any help greatly appreciated. hivolts
