My over all scan progress is frozen. I see a lot of you have experienced similar problems recently-so, what's the conclusion? Is it windows latest glitch? I have 2 infections detected and it doesn't matter if I let it run all night . . .the clock works, section progress has made a full cycle and I'm about 3/4 through the Overall Scan Progress- (obviously the FREE V.)

Do you Kaspersky or ZoneAlarm? The drivers that Kaspersky uses is a cause for a lot of people. Zone Alarm uses license the driver technology from kaspersky, hence the same problem with ZA.

Never heard of either till today-No I don't believe I do have them . . .I depend on AVG, Spybot and Ad-Aware and run windows XP-pro-I'm just a simple copywriter . . .Thanks for responding Txnnok
