I've tried to install Adaware 2008 free version, but it says "Service unavailable" Yet, I clicked on a site called C/Net and they advertised Adaware 2008 free version to download. I don't want to do anything rash, do you know if C/Net is a decent download or should I wait for the download from Lavasoft to work?

Why cant I download from Lavasoft anyway?

Download here

This will download Ad-Aware 2008 Free from download.com the primary download site for Lavasoft.

I believe the reason is that if Lavasoft hosted the free version on their page it takes up space and 'traffic' on their servers and because you want to download their free version, they get no money so they let other sites 'mirrors' offer the download instead smile.gif

Huh? From your prior posts you've installed and uninstalled Ad-Aware 2008 a number of times now. Why are you just now having the question of where to download? Where did you get it before?
Linux2009
Does he meen that Lavasoft.com or in fact download.com is too laggy that the download doesn't even start? In that case, try it from filehippo.com
Linux2009
Here is the link for ad-aware in filehippo.com

Sorry Jane, I must've confused you, I apologise for that. I had downloaded the 2008 version but it kept freezing.
Today, I've downloaded it from C/net and am over the moon with it. I wanted to stick with Adaware because it has served me well in the past.
Panic over now, sorry for the misunderstanding, I hope you have a very nice weekend.
