I purchased ad-aware 2008 plus today on the advice of my brother-in-law for being a good spyware cleaner. I have a lot of problems with redirects in explorer.

I use earthlink total access on my windows xp home edition computer.

When I try to run ad-aware it takes less than 10 seconds to bomb.

I get the message STOP:c000021a fatal system error
Windows login terminate unexpectedly w/a status of oxffffffff

system has been shut down

What am I supposed to do with this?

Try this uninstall it then go to here and redownload it http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php
save it to your desktop, then run it. It will ask you for your registration number during the install, if you get an error dont worry wait for it to load the free version. Start adaware then register it and it will set it up for the plus version.
If the problem continues, get some screen shots and posts the logs. If your not sure how come back and post. We will tell you how (some people don't know in case you do).
