Is there some type of affiliation between Lavasoft and Microsoft?

My OS is Windows XP. I attempted to upgrade from 2006 to 2007.

Installation of 2007 changed my MS IE settings. My Home Page was changed from Google to MSN. I reset the Home Page, but when IE is loaded again, it's back to MSN. The default search has the same problem. It was changed from Google to Windows Live. I was not able to effectively reset this.

The only solution I have found is to revert to 2006.

Any suggestions?

I dont think it understands that IE7 lets you set the default to others that are not MSN.

I have set my Search Bar to Google, but it sees it as this : http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=54896.

This in no way affect my choice of Google as I have other protection anyhow (not sure what would happen if I did not).
