I have Ad-Aware SE Professional and I know that it hasn't updated for a while now. Today I ran the program and it actually updated. Is Ad-Aware SE getting support again? or is there something malicious going on.

I got the free version of Ad-Aware SE and all the updates ref files I have downloaded going back to the 15th have been Corrupted def files.

But just for reason you said you got a update I clicked on the update and I be darn if it did not update.
But it is a old update of SE1R210 27.12.2007.

Update successfully downloaded and installed.

I closed Ad-Aware and opened it again and then get popup saying def are 148 days old and ask if I would like to update.
I said yes but then it says No updated components available.

I made a copy of the defs.ref and defs.ref.old files. Loaded the newer defs dated 22.05.2008 and it is still bad
So went back to the SE1R210 27.12.2007 because I had nothing newer to turn back to because I over wrote the ones the other day without backup.

Try this link but I can't guarantee it still works. Well the link does but maybe not the procedure.

A quick check through your other posts reveals that you run Win 98SE.

If I'm right, the last Defs.file that will work with your OS is SE1R247 13.05.2008.

Yes I got 98SE but all update def files from the 15.05.2008 to the one today have been Corrupted.
