Hello,

I am having an uninstallation problem with this 2007 version. When I execute the program, I get the error message: "System error: 1810 has occurred. Description: Service is not online. Application terminates" Also, the program does not appear on the Add/Remove Programs list. However, when I try to uninstall from the start menu, I get the message, "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed." What can I do manually to completely remove Ad-aware 2007 from the computer?

Thanks.

Hi elfredlied biggrin.gif
try this ...
download and install Revo uninstaller.
Create a system restore point.
Start Revo > locate Ad-Aware 2007 ( use the 'Hunter-mode if it's not listed )> choose 'moderate'
and follow the prompts.
If you still in trouble after it, feel free to post back.
Cheerio

Hi Raziel,

I tried what you suggested, but I don't see the word 'moderate' anywhere after I moved the crosshairs onto the Ad-aware 2007 icon on my desktop. And when I click on uninstall, Revo gave me the message, "No Installation Package Found Tip: Get more information for the application from the main windows and try to uninstall it manually! C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware 2007\Ad-Aware 2007.exe". What can I do next to remove Ad-Aware? Maybe, I should delete its program folder and delete every Ad-aware entry in the registry... Thank you for responding.

Hi again biggrin.gif
If you using the free version
> create a system restore point
> delete the entire folder
> direct to Docs and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ Lavasoft and delete the entire folder
> start/run - type 'cleanmgr' - checkmark Temp.Files/Temp-Internet Files/Recycle bin - run
> reboot
> start a windows search for AAW leavings and delete them manually.
Let us know how it works.
Cheers

I followed all your instructions. I did not find anything during the search other than the start menu shortcuts. Do I need to clean the registry too? Thanks for helping.

Yes, but why did you even remove the program in the first place? What is your OS?
