I am getting the same error, and am NOT running Spybot. I have even tried installing Ad-Aware 2007 Free on a new workstation and get the same TTimer error. Today I tried installing it on a workstation that previously had Ad-Aware 2006 on it. I uninstalled the old version, rebooted, and installed the new version and got the TTimer error. Spybot is not installed on this machine either. Please advise.

Hello the two of you biggrin.gif
I presume you're running Spybot S&D.
Pls disable the Spybot TTimer !!.
That should solve your problem.
Cheers

Hi biggrin.gif
now we have to do a little swabbing .
1. uninstall AAW2007
2. run a windows search for AAW2007 traces and delete them manually.
3. reboot
next
1. download and install Windows Install Clean Up ( WICU by MS )
2. run WICU, check all SE references and run
3. start a new windows search for all SE leavings and delete them manually , if there.
4. reboot
next
try a new download and install ( disable your security during both processes )
If your still in trouble, feel free to post back ( more input is needful )
Cheerio

This did not fix the problem. I uninstalled AAW2007, removed all traces from the registry, rebooted. I ran WICU and rebooted, then tried downloading and installing AAW2007 and still get the TTimer.exe error. I also tried installing the new AAW2008 and get the same error. This machine is running Windows XP Pro SP2, and does NOT have Spybot installed. Can you give me something else to try?
