I am another former customer who regrets losing Lavasoft. While trying today to install the recommended free version of Ad-Aware/Ad-Watch 2007 for home users, the installation got almost to the very end and then flashed ERROR 1722. Since Lavasoft no longer answers questions about programming errors in their own products but leaves that to other users who are more proficient than I, the correct title would have been "Catch-22." (There IS a solution to Catch-22, but it involves cutting a man in half and crashing your company into a stone mountain.) After reading the titles on 23 pages of a litany of buggy LS programs, I'll never buy another one and I'll delete the installation program for AAW 2007. My signature is RednSilver, but right now I'm more red than silver.

(But you do a wonderful and very hard job, "Jane." You're lucky you're not a face-to-face complaint department. You'd have to quit after one day or start packing for real.)

The 1722 error is a problem with the Windows installer. Try the steps in this FAQ and let me know if that resolves the problem?
How do I resolve the "Error 1722" problem?

Also what is your operating system?

Don't give up the faith - wait until AAW 2008 comes out maybe?

Personally, I gave-up on 2007 and reverted to my gud 'ole SE Plus. ...for which I can still get Defs.updates (at the moment).

But more importantly, as a McLaren fan (silver), I hate to see someone being forced to the Ferrari "Darkside" (red)... wink.gif
