I have used the free personal versions of Adaware for several years and been very happy with it. Just this week, I downloaded aw2007 and installed it on a client's home laptop computer. Every time I try to scan the hard drive, it gets to a point about 75% complete and goes into "scanning folders (conditional)" and stays there forever (5 hours one try). I have never seen it do this before. client is running Win 2K Pro, serv. pk 4, 75% free space on hard disk, turned off firewall and disconnected network cable. Adaware found 11 files, but can't get to completion of scanning to remove. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. &

I've had that same problem, and its still going now. I don't like the fact that you cant stop the scan either. So that means I'm sitting here for 5 hours or more, while this virus could be spreading throughout my computer.

thats nothing.. i had it once for 6 hours, and the smart scan for 10 hours... also stopped and doesn't finish
