I am migrating my systems from Ad-Aware SE 1.06 Plus to Ad-Aware 2007 Plus and I was wondering if anyone had any issues installing Ad-Aware 2007 Plus onto systems that do not meet the minimum system requirements. Specifically, my systems meet all requirements EXCEPT for the CPU; my CPUs are Pentium II (450 MHz). These are PCs running Windows XP Professional SP2. Does the software even install onto such machines and, if so, what has been your experience in running Ad-Aware 2007 Plus on these older systems.
I have been reading where Ad-Aware 2008 will have somewhat smaller resource requirements. Has anyone else heard this? If so, do the Lavasoft engineers believe Ad-Aware 2008 will install and run on these older machines, specifically, machines with a Pentium II (450 MHz) CPU or something close to this, as the steeper hardware requirements are keeping some of us from running the newer version.
