2 questions....

1) How can I start Ad-watch without user intervention?
When I start Ad-watch it always displays the event log. I then have to click the close button. mad.gif This is a pain! mad.gif
I have tried to stop the opening log by un-ticking "internal events" in the options but it still displays at startup, the only difference is that the log is empty.

2) I don't always shut down my PC, I just put it into "standby", this allows fast startup when I power back on.
The update of Ad-Aware signatures is done by starting Windows from "cold", from "standby" it will never update its signature files unless I tell it to. I use Avast anti-virus and it is configured to look for new signature files at 4 hour intervals. Is there any way I can do the same or similar in Ad-aware? Basically I want to load it and forget it!

Thanks
Corrine
Hi, LinData.

1) To have Ad-Watch load at startup:
  • Right-click on the Ad-Watch icon in the system stray and select "Restore Ad-Watch".
(Alternatively, launch Ad-Aware SE, click on "Ad-Watch" from the menu choices on the left.)
  • Under "Tools and Preferences", tick green, "Load Ad-Watch at Windows Startup".
In addition, to have Ad-Watch start minimized:
  • Launch Ad-Aware SE
  • Click the gear icon to access the Configuration Menu
  • Click Tweaks
  • Click Ad-Watch
  • Select "Load Ad-Watch minimized"
  • Click Proceed
