I am new to the forum, and came seeking a solution to this very problem.

I am having the exact same issue, with Ad-Aware 2007.

Ad-Aware throws an 'Eaccess violation' whenever I attempt to start the program.

This is on a brand new 'virgin' OQO 02, XP Pro SP2.

I ran full scans with Spybot Search & Destroy, Nod32, and AVG Anti-root kit, all come back with 'no problems found', so I do not think it is 'mal-ware'. Also Spywareblaster is installed.

I set DEP to ignore Ad-Aware, but the problem persists.

I de-installed Ad-Aware, rebooted, used CC cleaner, rebooted, used CC-cleaner again, rebooted, re-installed Ad-Aware 2007, and the problem still persists.

Maybe an application bug?
