Click to view attachmentHello, i was getting a similar message and tried what was suggested about stopping the ad aware 2007 service and the restarting it but i got exactly the same problem. So i uninstalled and reinstalled the adaware 2007 software and updated to the latest version of the definitions and tried again but got the same error.
However i did manage to resolve the issue, what i did was i disabled my internet connection and closed my firewall and antivirus software being AVG and zone alarm, and ended any processes that were running that were related to them through task manager, the scan was then successful.
just to add to that i was running windows xp professional service pack 2, and it was the adaware 2007 free edition
it always stuck scanning Corel Graphics 12 eventho i already un-installed this program out of my system. seems like it's still there in Program Files.. =\
how to remove Corel thoroughly from there?

i tried your advice, willy, but when i ended iexplorer.exe.. uh.. all the icons on my desktop's gone as well as the task manager until i did reboot my computer. i'm not a computer smart ^^; so i don't know what's related and what's not... -__-;;
