After migrating from se version to 2007, and using latest definition 0052.0000 under full scan condition, program stops moving when reaching "scanning inside archive", can anyone help what is wrong to me? Thanks very much.

Hi sae888 biggrin.gif
open AAW2007 > Settings > Scanning Tab > Scanning Options
enable File Skip > set value to 30.000 or to 10.000 if it not works.
run a new scan.
Hope it helps

I've been looking into why 2007 is failing to scan.
I have a few computers that I've loaded this program on & one of them is being ornary.
I tried the previous fix mentioned & it didn't work.
One of the things I think I found, was that it appears that the computer that was failing,
the failure was due to some kind of issue with the system updates.
If you can trust what I'm telling you...
try this:
1)- Go to the directory where the program is loaded:
should be:
c:\program files\lavasoft\Ad-Aware 2007
2)- Locate the file: Ad-Aware 2007.exe
3)- Right click on this file & rename to Ad-Aware2007.old
4)- Take the file that I've attached here (AdAware.zip) & download it.
5)- Put the file that is in the ZIP file into the directory above.
It should be Ad-Aware2007.exe
6)- Open Ad-Aware 2007
7)- Perform a WEB UPDATE.
8)- Make sure that it successfully completes.
Successful completion is either a or b & c or d :
a) it finds new DEF files (you download them & it's successful).
or
b) it tells you that you are running the latest DEFs
and
c) it tells you that there are program updates
do you want to update?
Say YES
d) it tells you that you are running the latest program file.

IF it hangs up at any point & doesn't complete.
Don't continue.
Try running update again, until it successfully completes on everything.

9)- Then try running a scan.

The attached file came out of one of my computers that ran successfully.

Hi ann0n,

Time will tell whether the average user can follow your precisely-detailed instructions.

Basically, all I wanted to say was a big thank you for working so hard to assist others.

Negative criticism is easy - constructive feedback is like gold smile.gif
