Full Version: Ad-Aware 2007 will not run!

When I try to open Ad-Aware, I get the folowing message:

Ad-Aware 2007 has stopped working

When I click on the details I get this:

All my problems started several days ago, it was working just fine up until then. Since then I have uninstalled/reinstalled 3 times, all with the same result. I am running Vista Home Premium. Windows intalled several automatic updates around the same time my problems started. Just a coincidence, or is there a connection? Any help greatly appreciated!

Not able to answer that definitively - please uninstall your current version of AAW 2007 and re-download/install from here.

After checking for Updates (use the "Updates" tab in the side-menu as it gives you a progress bar), try running AAW 2007 again.

Please post back as to progress.

I KNOW THIS IS A WASTE OF TIME, THERE SEEMS TO BE NO ONE HOME AT LAVASOFT, FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS!! JUST LOOK AT THE POSTS TO THIS FORUM. I STILL SUSPECT THIS IS AN ISSUE WITH MICROSOFT, VISTA, AND THEIR UPDATES. BUT IT WOULD BE NICE TO HEAR SOMETHING, ANYTHING, FROM LAVASOFT!! PLEASE SAVE ME THE GARBAGE ABOUT UNINSTALL/REINSTALL, I'VE ONLY TRIED THAT ABOUT 10 TIMES!! AND IF YOU REPLY, SPARE ME THE HAPPY FACE ICONS, I'M NOT HAPPY! AND THEY WANT ME TO UPGRADE TO THE PAY VERSION? YEAH, FAT CHANCE!! mad.gif

Yes,that is a huge part of the problem.I have the paid Pro version,it will not update.Lavasoft tech support will not even alow me to login on. It is most and does not get high remarks on anything from me these days.

I do not have an answer to your problem.
