sorry, not that tech savvy. not sure how to do that either. The screen comes up with "General" settings, an "Advanced" settings button and a "default" settings button. Each of them comes up with a different screen. Not sure how to "capture" the screen to save and then attach. Just didn't know if there was some on/off type button somewhere that would temporarily disable it at times. I don't want to take it completely off and then install it back, but if I have to I guess then I will.

Hi cleo116,

Are you using AAW SE Personal (ie: free)? Or do you have either of the licensed Plus or Pro versions?

If it is AAW SE Personal, you do not need to actually disable it, as it has no "real-time" components - nothing is continuously running in the background.

It only runs (ie: scans) when you tell it to.

However, if you have either Plus or Pro (which do have real-time protection) locate the Ad-Watch icon in your system-tray (next to the clock). Right-click on the Ad-Watch icon and select "Close Ad-Watch" and then confirm.

Then to re-enable Ad-Watch, go to the desktop icon (or the Lavasoft/Ad-Aware folder in your Start Menu) and and click on it to restart. The icon should re-appear in your SysTray.
