Hi jeff,

If the official download site is causing you problems, please try downloading AAW 2007 Free from here.

Regards,

Spike

PS: Once you have downloaded/re-installed, if you still have problems , please post back.

I have downloaded the AAW 2007 Free and it will not let me update. It keeps saying SSL dowload failed. I've tried downloading/reinstalling with the latest version and it's still not working. It's obviously some problem on Lavasoft's end as I've seen other postings with the exact same problem. I mean we can't all have the same problems and it be our fault can it? Can you please help me to fix this? I really liked AD Aware SE and then we were hit with not being able to update the SE and had to change over to this new one, but it's not working properly.

Thanks,
Suzanne

HELP!
I think I have done everything asked and still cannot get definition updates. The message says they are 31 days old yet I was able to update last week(20 Jan). The error message says it can't connect.

I'm unable to update Ad-Aware SE either--that happened around midnight or eleven pm 01/27/08.

Hi Suzanne,

Please see this AAW 2007 FAQ: I get an error message "SSL download failed". How do I resolve this issue?

@ TJO & moses

Official Lavasoft support for Ad-Aware SE Personal ended on 31st December 2007. Lavasoft's new product, Ad-Aware 2007, has a Free version which requires Win2000 or later, available from here or here.

If you should have a licensed version of AAW SE (ie: plus or Pro), please log into the Support Center to upgrade to AAW 2007.

The product specifications (including which OS are supported) are here: Tech Specs

Hi stupaod,

I'm having the exact same problem

Which problem?

The one that this Topic is intended to address, SSL dowload failed ?

Or do you mean the one subsequent posters have introduced on a completely different subject, I'm unable to update Ad-Aware SE ?

Spike
