If we can still update the SE version manually (i.e. updates are still available, and stored on the Lavasoft sites), how difficult would it be to offer a patch that might allow FAITHFUL Ad-Aware SE users to continue to retrive updates as before.

I've tried the 2007 version. I can't stand it. Forget the UI being different, that's just cosmetic, and just not really all that important. But on a FRESH hard drive, and on a FRESH install of Windows XP Home, I tried this "New and IMPROVED" version of Ad-Aware ( yes, the latest version....from Download.com), with the expectations of quality and excellence I've come to love about Lavasoft. What can I say except I've NEVER been this disapointed by a software product or company before IN MY LIFE!

Sure, it installed beautifully, but when I tried a "Smart" scan, it kick back an error. So I restarted my computer, thinking "even though I didn't prompt me to, it may need it just to "finish" installing. Upon the restart, I, once again, started a "Smart" scan. It worked this time, but man did it take a while.

Then I started a "Full Scan"..............*Yawn*.....was taking TOO long, so I tried to stop the scan, Which caused the program to freeze. So I waited for a few moments, and with no luck, I ended it through the task manager. Hey, what are these NEW PROCESSES taking up my systems resources WITHOUT me setting it to do so?!?

Long story short, I offer this PLEA to the Lavasoft engineers and developers........PLEASE allow for a way for the FORMERLY happy SE users, to continue using the program that WORKED!

P.S. You KNOW you're screwed when FREE USERS are starting to turn down your ONCE FINE products!
