I have version 7.0.2.5 installed on XP Pro SP2. Each time I check for updates I am advised that updated software is available. If I take that update, ad-aware will no longer start. Ad-Aware2007.exe is loaded, but there is no user interface window. The same thing happens if I take a fresh download... which says it is 7.0.2.6.

It is the free version.
Yes, anti-virus software was enabled.
Also, since my original post, I upgraded a personal SE version on another computer (XP home) by removing the old version and downloading the new (also free version). All works fine on that computer! (anti-virus software enabled there too, but a different brand)
