I'm interested in upgrading from SE Personal Free to 2007 Free and wondering the best/cleanest way to do so. Uninstall previous versions ( I thought I saw Ad-Aware 6 somewhere on my system ), or install over? Thanks.

Yes, please uninstall AAW SE Personal before installing AAW 2007 Free.

To double-check which versions are on your system at present, first go to the Add/Remove Programs list - uninstall any showing there.

Then please download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (WICU) from here

Install and run the WICU (should be listed on your "Start > Programs" list) - it should detect any remaining installations of AAW. Highlight any that appear and then click remove.

Then double-check to make sure that the AAW SE files & folders have been removed from C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware\ etc - any that remain may be manually deleted.
