Hi!

Since yesterday my Ad-aware Pro and Ad-watch refuse to start up. When i click on the Trays it comes up an error message saying:

System error:1810. Description:Service is not online.Aplication terminates.

can´t run neither my Ad-aware Pro or Ad-watch and i have tried to reboot my Computer without success. ?

Today this morning the Ad-aware Pro did run for a few minutes started to update it self, but in about half the update process an error message said that there was an error in the up-date,and after that i cant open or start up neither Ad-aware Pro or Ad-Watch.Has anyone else experienced this? What´s wrong?

Greatfull for any answers!!! wink.gif

To solve the problem you you can
try to remove a possibly corrupted settings file for Ad-Aware.

1. Open explorer and Navigate to the file. The file is usually stored in
"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware
2007" (if you can not find the folder please set your explorer to show
hidden files. You can do this by opening explorer, go to the menu
"tools" and click on "folder options", switch to the "View" tab and
choose "show hidden files" under "hidden files and folders".

2. The file to remove is called settings.aaw and please make sure not to
delete anything else.

3. Do a full uninstall / reinstall of Ad-Aware.

4. Restart your computer.

After doing these steps Ad-Aware will start normally.
