I must admit to be rather disappointed with Lavasoft's decision to no longer support Ad-Aware SE, at least the Personal version. I did read in another post that the expiration dates for SE Plus & Pro (Enterprise) have not yet been announced, which leads me to believe that those, too, will be without support, updates, etc at some time in the future.
When I purchased Ad-Aware Plus in March, 2004, I was led to believe that this was a one-time payment for a lifetime license. There have been a plethera of posts in other forums from unhappy SE owners with apparently soon-to-be invalid "lifetime" licenses, and I can't help but wonder if all of this negative word-of-mouth "advertising" will have an adverse effect for Lavasoft.
As for me, I am no longer able even to access my Support Center account. Even though I still receive email from Lavasoft (as of 12-20-07), my email address - which I did not manually type in, but copied & pasted from the latest Lavasoft email to me - is not found in their customer register. I tried to log into my account last July & had this problem; the issue still existed today when I tried again. I've even had to re-register in this forum. When I tried to log in last July, I received an error message stating that my user name did not exist, yet when I tried to use it again during re-registration, I was not allowed because "someone else" was using it. As it is a somewhat uncommon name - Oma - I am curious as to whether that "someone" may have been my now-inaccessible forum account.
Is there any way for me to contact the Support Center by direct email in order to be able to once again gain access? Using the password retrieval system does not work, obviously, as it does not recognize my email address.
Thank you in advance for your time & assistance.
