Hi - I gots infected with something that sometimes steals the web browser and tries to get me to download a virus remover (which I have not done) - it is called "Trojan.Win32.LinkReplacer"

I see you have Viewpoint installed...
Viewpoint Manager is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is installed without users approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad". This will change from what we know in 2006 read this article: http://www.clickz.com/news/article.php/3561546
I suggest you remove the program now. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs if present.

• Viewpoint
• Viewpoint Manager
• Viewpoint Media Player

Then, read and perform the instructions posted here:

For future reference, Just watch out for fake codecs and fake so called "Macromedia flash ActiveX update errors", because that's how you got infected in the first place. Don't believe all this so called errors where they ask you to download additional codecs and other updates
