Does anyone have a problem with Automatic update and settings in Ad-Aware 2007?
When you reset your settings and save it. The automatic settings on the status screen is ticked. Exit the Ad-Aware. Restart Ad-Aware, go to settings, the program reports that the settings have not been saved even though I have not changed anything.

If I answers YES and save the setting. The automatic update is no longer checked. Going the AutoScan tab and setting the automatic update does not unchecked the automatic update in the status screen.

If you answer NO, this message keeps appearing everytime you start Ad-Aware.

Any solutions?

Hi Sin,

Sorry for the late reply - I am checking back over unanswered posts following the holiday period.

To reset your AAW preferences, please navigate to (the default path) C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware 2007\ and delete the file called "settings.aaw".

Then re-open AAW 2007 and select/save your desired settings - the file will be recreated with your new settings.
