Adware Se Plus keeps removing the above, but it keeps coming back. How do I get rid of it. One site says it was a backdoor trojan. What is this? Also, I have the paid version which was supposed be a lifetime version. Is it now no longer valid after December 2007?

Firstly, if you suspect that you may be infected, please start a new Topic in the HijackThis Logs section of the forum - NB: please read this before posting there: IMPORTANT: Before You Post Read This!

Secondly, AAW 2007 is a completely new program, built from scratch (unlike previous updates to the AAW SE technology). Therefore, there will be some cost involved in upgrading - that said, if you purchased prior to 2004 and can provide proof to the Support Staff, you might get the first year's subscription to AAW 2007 Plus fee.

If you purchased AAW SE plus online through element5 (Lavasoft's e-seller), you can log in to their Customer Care Center? (there is a "Forgotten Password" link), where you will find the details of your original online purchase, together with a direct link to Lavasoft Support.

I would advise that you concentrate on ridding yourself of any possible infection, before worrying about License issues.
