Is LS still maintaining their position about expiring the SE build at the end of the year?

I'm attempting to remove ALL of the AD-AWARE PRO SE components. I still have one item showing in my CONTROL PANEL and I cannot remove it when I click onto REMOVE. What else can I do to uninstall all these componenets?

I'm attempting to uninstall ALL components of the AD-AWARE PRO SE. It's interfering with my new AT&T NORTON protection programs.

What can I do to clean out the remaining item listed in my CONTROL PANEL? Each time I attempt to REMOVE this item I get a pop-up as not being able to unistall the AD-AWARE install item.

Thank you

Hi trollin47,

Try *rightclick* on the Ad-watch icon in the system tray and choose *close Ad-watch* from the menu that pops up. Then see if you can now remove Ad-Aware via the Control Panel in Add/Remove programs.

If still no joy try these instructions here:

Hi trollin47,

What problems are you experiencing - do you get the AAW SE "Can’t find Install.log." error message? If so, please see this AAW SE FAQ: I am unable to uninstall my Ad-Aware SE. I receive a message saying, "Can’t find Install.log."

Next, to ensure full removal please download the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility from here. In the list of programs detected by the WICU, locate any reference to Ad-Aware and select it, then click on "Remove".

Finally, if you still strike compatibility problems with your AT&T Norton protection (odd, first that I have heard of such a compatibility issue), and are comfortable with Registry editing (NB: always back up the Registry before making any changes), go to "Start > Run" and type in regedit

Delete any references to Lavasoft or Ad-Aware (the two most likely locations are: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lavasoft and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Lavasoft). This step should not be necessary - I have added it only as a precaution in case your Norton protection still has problems.
