Here is the answer for what is expiring and what is not.
No official release date yet on the Enterprise version, so early next year or first quarter 2008 may be the best we can estimate for final release for Enterprise Customers. You WILL still be able to receive updates for the SE Enterprise for some time to come - that will NOT expire Dec 31.
We will only stop supporting SE Personal at the new year. Plus and Professional users (and hence also Enterprise customers) will still be able to retrieve definition updates.
Hello again Jane,
Thank you so much for bringing our hopes up, but before we take out the champagne, I would like to clarify some of the details of our situation. I am not sure that we are indeed "Enterprise customers" as you are implying. We have been using the Ad-Aware SE Plus 1.04 version since Spring of 2005 without issues. Whether or not our licensing configuration has escalated to the "Enterprise" level is unknown to me.
My utmost concern lies in this question: On January 1st 2008, will we still be able to download the latest antispyware definitions file ( through our internally-engineered automated process ) from this very specific download site:
http://download.lavasoft.com/public/defs.ref ??
If not, please provide a new link for us ASAP so we can re-engineer this task in time for the new year.
Secondly, you mentioned that ONLY support for the Personal version will cease when 2008 comes around, therefore no more definitions file updates for those using the Personal one. However, how will this be accomplished since the SE1R2XX definitions file series is applicable to all SE versions ( Personal, Plus and Pro ) ?
Thanks again for your valuable time and effort spent on this matter.
