Full Version: Ad-aware 2007 Pro Crashes As Every Bootup

Hi,

For the last two weeks or so every time I boot-up my PC I get an Error Message stating that aawservice.exe has had an unhandled exception and a request to send in a Crash Report. By now I must have sent in over 50 of these suckers and have also written to Lavasoft Support for assistance but have gotten nowhere.

Am I the only one out here with this problem?

Any help would be nice.

This problem sounds specific to your system and may well be a conflict with one or more of the other security programs you are using. If any of these are starting up with realtime protection, see if temporarily turning off the real time monitor helps (try them one at a time to try to determine which program might be causing it:

WinPatrol
Spysweeper
Spybot (only the resident tea-timer if you have that going)

The others should not be causing a problem, however, you DO have two antivirus running? Are both running realtime or is one disabled to use as a backup scanner?
