I installed Ad-Aware 2007. It finished and right after an application error alert was displayed(I have attached the error). This was at the point where it should have asked for the license details. When i click on AD-Aware to run the application, nothing happens. It just doesn't run.

I'm doing an evaluation of the capabilities and features of Ad-Aware.

Someone please help me.

It was reported a little while back that sometimes Win 2000 could have problems getting sufficient access privileges for the Service (aawservice.exe).

Would you please uninstall AAW 2007, then try this:

Go to "Start > Programs > Accessories" and click on Command Prompt
Type cd C:\Windows\System32 then hit Enter
Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll then hit Enter - You should get a "successful" message.

The reboot and reinstall AAW 2007 - does it run properly now?
