I hate to ask this on a public forum but I have been trying to stop the Emails I get when someone posts a new post to this Forum. I went to My Controls but can't seem to turn that feature off and my mailbox is getting full of messages from lavasoft support forums. Can someone tell me how to turn that function off? Thanks.

Try this process:

Open My Controls then on the left under Subscriptions select View Forums. If any are listed on the right-hand side select the box against each one, ensure the dropdown menu says "unsubscribe" then click on button labeled "with selected"

Repeat this for on the left under Subscriptions select View Topics and unsubscribe as above.

This should stop the email notifications.
