hi,

a few weeks ago my wife ran across an article about spyware and malware. Being that her PC was slow and showed some symptoms of an infection, she downloaded a spybot and had her system cleaned. It runs fine and there is no problem with hers at all, however, I thought, ok, I will do the same. I installed the program and that is when my troubles started. First of all, the program didn't even run all the way through. It stopped in the middle of detection and just closed down. I then downloaded a fewe more programs and ran them unrtil I finally had one run all the way through. Then I installed an older version of the initial one and it worked. At last, since I am using the AVG virus suite, I downloaded and ran the AVG Anti Soywae program, which gave me the best results. However, ever since then, I am getting more and more messages about trojans I have on my system by both, the AVG virus detection and the AVG anti spyware. The newest is now that I have to reboot my PC after every complete virusscan. I am getting mainly two reports of trojans that I cannot get rid of. One is Virtumonde and the other are instances of the BHO trojan, namely BHO.AKY, BHO.BHM and BHO.BIS.

Even though my PC is not really running much slower and I am not getting a lot of popups, I really would like to get rid of these trojans. Any help is gratefully appreciated!

Also be sure you have run a full system scan with Ad-aware with the latest definition updates. It may already be in detection by now. I don't see that you mentioned you scanned with Ad-Aware?
