Hi
Ad-aware terminated in the middle of a scan this AM.
The message was:
Error :an error has occurred. component Tform AAW.Message no root element found in xml.
There was also a request to post this to the support forum.

I had performed a scan last night, which showed up 41 trojan zlob infections which were't quarantined/removed, as they had a TAI of 10. (win32.trojandownloader.zlob).
I changed the TAI level at which to remove threats to 9, hoping this might remove the nasties, then half way through the scan, I got that error message.
I have already done extensive scanning/spyware removal to remove this trojan, and as far as I was aware, had successfully done so.
Do you have any idea what the problem migh be (and also, am I infected with this trojan again, given that scan result last night?)
Thanks for your help in advance

PS I have just scanned with AVG and spy bot and stinger and Spy-ware blaster, and none of them have found anything, which is worrying if that zlob is still lurking around

I had the same error for the past two days now, but I only found one cookie and it had a Tai of 0. I ran a scan tonight and it found 2 cookies, couldn't find out what they were -- pretty sure that one of them was a similar one to the one that I found last night, but the other one I'm not sure about.

here's a pic of the error as well:

I did a scan with AVG too and no viruses were found.

Hello, this error has been reported but we are not able to duplicate the issue or find the resolution.

Could you please state what is your Operating System and version of Ad-Aware (free, plus or pro?)

That would sure help smile.gif

@ nicolam - ugh, 41 instances of Zlob doesn't sound good and it could be that an existing infection is interfering with your Ad-Aware program scanning properly

Could you please follow the instruction to create a log for us to analyze:
