Has anyone had success using the Ad-Aware Enterprise Console? I have successfully deployed the client to over 1000 machines, but the console is now unusable.

I am running Enterprise 1.9.4.4 build 28. Clients are version 1.9.4.4. I have 2 groups created under Client Control. Most clients are separated into groups, but not all. The problem is I can no longer move the computers around or create new groups--once I click Client Control the aamonitor.exe process takes all the server resources, and the console stops responding. I also can't view any of the client computers' statistics from the console, so I can't tell if my scheduled scans are completing successfully. If I leave the console running, eventually it will take all server resources and it becomes unstable until rebooted, which is only a temporary fix since the same thing will happen in another day or two.

When I first installed the console everything worked fine, but there were only about 25 clients initially. Once the number grew the Client Control portion became unusable. I have tried installing/repairing the console and restarting the server. Still the same result. Is there a limit to the number of clients the console can manage? Are there any additional system requirements? I am running the console on a virtual Windows 2003 server, 3.8 ghz, 1024 mb ram, 4 gb free.

I've searched the forums and although I find many others with unresolved issues, I can't find any support for this product. I've contacted Lavasoft support via email (because, of course, there is no phone number) and received a response stating they would look into it. That was nearly a month ago. If anyone can be of assistance, I would really appreciate it.

To anyone considering purchasing this product, I would strongly advise against it. Nothing but problems, no support, and generally speaking a big waste of money.

The forums here doesn't have a specific support section for the Enterprise Edition because those are handled by The Support Center Customer Service Team. The forum here is for user-to-user discussions and help so very few Enterprise topics are posted or answered here. Use the Lavasoft Support Center instead smile.gif

They do not monitor these forums as they help customers on a individual basis through the support center.

I understand the Customer Service team is dedicated to issues with Enterprise Edition, and have seen your identical (and unhelpful) response to nearly all inquiries. The problem is Customer Service is unresponsive, and since there is no way to contact them directly I am kind of short on options here. If you look at my original post you'll see I have attempted to work with them, but haven't gotten anywhere. Just looking for help anywhere I can get it. I was hoping someone who has experience with Enterprise Edition might offer some advice.

Hi mattd1978,

Firstly, I will state that I have no experience whatsoever with the Enterprise version, just to clear the air...

That said, may I point you to these (rather old) Topics which I remembered from last year, whose posters are Enterprise users, particularly HALinNY
I have sent a PM to some of them, asking that they have a look at your problem, in the event that they are still AAW Enterprise customers. I can't guarantee that they will respond but they are at least familiar with the product (had to do a search for "Enterprise" as my memory doesn't go back that far wink.gif ).

Please note that none of us are being deliberately unhelpful - we simply cannot answer questions about a product of which we ourselves have no working knowledge. That would be pointless, which is why directing you to Support is our best answer.

I sincerely hope that one of them will take the time to post for you.

Regards,

Spike
