suppose i download a website that is clearly a bad boy: it is obviously mimicking microsoft - and an excellent mimick it is! - telling me that i must install a modification to windows media player.
when i try to leave by clicking the boxed x in the upper-right-hand, another popup appears; i can't get out! Using Vista's Task Manager to attempt to kill the process only spawns another thread, and if i click Task Manager's "end now" then ALL of IE's tabs will close.
Does AdAware Pro's Process Explorer work here, where Task Manager fails? How do i use it?
And finally, why didn't Pro's real time process catch the varmint?

If you have problem with a site that produces another popup when closing it, you can turn on the popup blocker feature in your browsers settings.
You can also press Alt+F4 (keyboard shortcut to close a window) rapidly to close the current selected window and any popups it produces.
Ad-watch does not include the popup blocking feature in Ad-Aware 2007. It has been removed since Ad-Aware SE.
process watch cannot terminate a single window only the complete process the same way as task manager.
Since it is the browser that produces popups of new browser windows it is not necessary malevolent.
Ad-Watch will only detect files, reg.key entries or processes that is included in the detection database.
