Hello,

I just registered and am trying to update my personal profile information but keep getting the following error message.

"You entered an illegal date for your birthday. You may have chosen 30th February, for example."

I am not even changing the birthday field and have left it completely blank. It says the information is optional yet this message appears each time I try to update my profile. I would only like to change things like my interests, location and such not my birthdate. Is there a required length of time one must be registered before one can modify their user profile? unsure.gif
I have cookies enabled and all that as well.

Thanks in advance for any help.

J.

DJ_JonnyE-Z,

Welcome to the forum smile.gif

This is a bug in the IPB forum software that I have not been able to find a fix. To get around this error message, fill in a bogus birthday if you wish (I used Jan 1 1908) and it took my change in profile information.

Also be sure that you fill out the "required information" field at the very top of the forum which instructs you the information to be filled in on that box.

Thank you LS Calamity Jane for your reply. I thought maybe I had been doing something wrong. rolleyes.gif A friend of mine that introduced me to this forum also pointed out an alternate method that works. If I change my info while using the controls on the left side of the screen while viewing my own profile, it will accept the correct info. This seems to work also until some "bug" spray can be found for the forum software. biggrin.gif

Great forum by the way and I already located answers to 2 of the questions I had regarding AdAware 2007. Thanks again for your assistance CJ.

Cheers,
J.

You're welcome! I had discovered this "bug" myself a couple of weeks ago and thought it was maybe just me as well. Did some initial investigation and then got sidetracked as to what the "fix" is. Since we will be upgrading our version of this board software soon, I expect that will take care of it. I'm never in too much of a rush to upgrade to a newer version until I'm sure it's stable enough to justify the upgrade.

And thanks for the "extra" workaround. I'll have to try that out (sounds better than mine) biggrin.gif
