We had been using Ad Aware 2006, until it started freezing partway through the scan. I uninstalled that program, downloaded and installed Ad Aware 2007 (free personal). I tried both the deep scan and the smart scan and got the same error part way through.

Message: No root element found in xml

Is there a solution for this issue?

Message is different
Access violation at address 005A444D in module Ad-aware 2007 exe Read of address000003FC

Ad-aware2007 is not working - most probably because of this - so I thought I would remove it and reinstall
It wont let me
I receive a message that As-aware is already loaded (though it doesnt run) and carries on" to remove it before reinstalling"

I then get message that I cannot gain access to file/folder :(hard drive) E:\ProgramFiles\CommonFiles\WiseInstallation Wizard

Asks me to try again or browse which I have done - and using explorer I cannot find it anywhere - so cannot use Ad-aware - or remove it --or reinstall ----stuck in the middle - well and truly !!
